Berlinale 70: Generation, tutti i film delle sezioni KPlus e 14plus

Come ogni anno, la sezione Generation propone un numero impressionante di opere, spesso bacino per altri festival internazionali a venire. Maryanne Redpath ha selezionato insieme al suo staff 59 titoli tra cui 29 anteprime mondiali e dodici opere prime da 34 nazioni e con una prevalenza di autrici donne che superano il 50 per cento delle opere in programma.
La 43/ma edizione di Berlinale Generation, dedicata al mondo dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza e divisa nelle due sezioni Generation Kplus e Generation 14plus, include opere di Pilar Palomero, al suo debutto nel lungometraggio e scoperta in Italia nella sezione Corti del Lucca Film Festival curata da Rachele Pollastrini, con lo splendido La Noche de todas las cosas. La giovane regista spagnola presenta “Las niñas”, dove la dodicenne Celia, spinta dalla ribelle Brisa, vive i suoi turbolenti dodici anni. Le due si ribelleranno alla rigida autorità del collegio femminile cattolico che frequentano. Una dolorosa ricerca della propria identità. Il ritorno di un veterano del cinema giapponese come Nobuhiro Suwa, autore degli splendidi M/Other e H Story, realizzati tra la fine degli anni novanta e il nuovo millennio, porta a Berlino Kaze no Denwa (Voices in the Wind) dove la giovane Haru, interpretata dalla star Serena Motola, va alla ricerca delle tracce legate alla sua famiglia, dopo che questa è stata sterminata dallo Tsunami del 2011. Elaborazione del trauma attraverso un delicatissimo e minimale road movie. I titoli e le co-produzioni italiane presenti sono “Palazzo di Giustizia”, opera prima di Chiara Bellosi, dove un giorno ordinario durante un processo per rapina ed omicidio, viene osservato attraverso lo sguardo delle figlie degli accusati. Il secondo titolo italiano è “Progresso Renaissance” di Marta Anatra, documentario ambientato nel sardo Portovesme, luogo abbandonato che la regista filma in 16mm. Alexandre Rockwell porta Sweet Thing, film su una famiglia disfunzionale.
